Artist Biography

I am originally from Cache Valley Utah, where I grew to love the rural setting.  Having a love for watercolor, I saved that passion until I was empty nested.  I was educated in art and focused on a nursing degree with Weber State College. After nursing for 37 years I started to pick up the long awaited watercolors that I have always loved.
My art is an expression of who I am and who I am to become.  The very essence of color, design and the impressionist expression of what I see is what I enjoy.  I like freedom with the brush and the paint.  Being brave enough to convey something that inspires me in my own way is a challenge daily.  Watercolor is like raising children if you control them (too- much ) they don’t blossom as beautiful as if you gently guide them.  Watercolor is my passion - art has made me see life.
My paintings are in collections all over the United States and I continue to sell my work while teaching watercolor with a focus on creativity and a loose style.
